World Mythology
In this engaging and interactive class, we'll delve into the captivating world of myths by reading aloud one myth together during each session. Afterward, we'll dive into a lively discussion and explore the themes, symbols, and cultural significance of the story.
To reinforce your child's writing skills and complement your existing homeschooling curriculum or Exploring the World Through Story Class, we'll wrap up each class with a fun and collaborative writing exercise. No additional homework is required, making this class an enjoyable and stress-free way to further develop your child's writing abilities.
Parents are responsible for purchasing the following books to ensure your child gets the most out of this class:
"The Girl Who Helped Thunder and Other Native American Folktales (Folktales of the World)" by James Bruchac
"Japanese Myths, Legends & Folktales: Bilingual English and Japanese Edition (12 Folktales)" by Uri Asada
"Between Worlds: Folktales of Britain & Ireland" by Kevin Crossley-Holland
"Favorite African Folktales" by Nelson Mandela
Prior to the start of the class, we'll provide a Bookish Society workbook to help guide your child's learning journey and ensure a well-rounded and immersive experience.
