Girl Power: Goddess Girls Readers' Circle

$200.00

Girl Power (only girls are allowed) kicks off on January 6, 2026.

Every Tuesday from 3:00 - 3:45 PM Central Time, we'll embark on an empowering adventure with strong female characters and captivating stories.

Our Readers’ Circles vary each week, but follow a consistent format to ensure all kids feel comfortable contributing to the discussion.

The first five minutes are spent on chatty check-ins, then we move on to discussing the vocabulary included in our reading selection. Each student presents to the class based on their previously chosen literature role assignment. We then hold an open discussion until the class has ten minutes remaining, during which we share our pets, Lego creations, drawings, and other items. The only homework is based on reading the book, and our literature roles are listed here.

Here's a peek at the fantastic books we'll be delving into during "Girl Power":

Athena the Brain (Goddess Girls #1) by Joan Holab
Persephone the Phony (Goddess Girls #2) by Joan Holab
Aphrodite the Beauty (Goddess Girls #3) by Joan Holab

Artemis the Brave (Goddess Girls #4 by Joan Holab

(Parents are responsible for sourcing these books)

We can't wait to share these inspiring stories and celebrate the strength and resilience of girls in literature!
